Are there good places to park? How much does parking cost?
Free street parking is available at both the Myriad Gardens and Paseo. There are also numerous paid parking lots available around the Myriad Gardens.
Do I need to bring a lawn chair? What can I expect at the Myriad Gardens?
No, the Myriad Gardens has fixed plastic seats. There are indoor restrooms and water fountains. The Water Stage is located on the west side of the large botanical tube in the heart of the gardens. You can purchase tickets online or at the door on the evening of the performance. The tickets are general admission so we advise arriving at 7:30 in order to get a good seat.
Is the Paseo venue outdoors or indoors?
Our intimate space at 2920 Paseo is indoors. It can be chilly due to air conditioning so it is always a good idea to have an extra layer just in case, even in the heat of summer.
We have 70 seats so we advise purchasing tickets online in advance. This venue is general admission seating so early arrival is recommended. There is no late seating at our Paseo venue.
How long does the show run?
The run time varies, generally from 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours. A typical production runs four weekends, but does vary. Please check our Plays page for details.
What are your cell phone and camera policies?
We do not allow any photos or video to be taken during performances. All cell phones should be set to off or silent (even the vibrations can be heard in our space), and we ask that there is no texting during the production.
What age is appropriate for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park attendance?
It is our policy to grant admittance only to persons 6 years of age or older. Young patrons must be accompanied by an adult. For information about the suitability of individual productions for various ages check the Plays page or contact the office 405 235-3700.
What happens if I arrive at the Theatre after the performance has begun?
At the Myriad Gardens we are able to seat patrons at any time. Due to the intimate nature of our Paseo venue, and to ensure the safety of our patrons and cast members, Paseo patrons who arrive after the performance has begun will not be seated. These patrons may request to be placed upon a waiting list for future showing of the same production. This seating is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. So please, arrive early.
Additionally, if you leave the theatre during the performance, you may not be re-admitted until intermission.
I have a conflict for the date I am scheduled to attend. Can I exchange my tickets?
You are welcome to exchange your tickets up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled performance. In order to exchange for a new performance date/time, contact the box office at 1-800-838-3006 (We are unable to process any ticket-related requests—including exchanges—via email.)
Tickets are not refundable. They are, however, transferable! If you find that you cannot attend the performance for which you have tickets, you may give friends your physical tickets or have them mention your name at will call.
What is your outdoor rain policy?
Due to the unpredictable nature of Oklahoma weather, performances will not cancel due to inclement weather* until after 8:00 pm.
If the show is cancelled less than 24-hours in advance of curtain, up to intermission of the performance, you may exchange your admission for another performance of the same show or request a refund by calling 1-800-838-3006.
If a performance reaches intermission before inclement weather* cancellation, no rain-checks, exchanges or refunds will be issued.
No rain-checks, exchanges, or refunds will be issued for the final performance.
*inclement weather shall be defined as a sustained hard rain fall for 10-minutes or more and/or the sounding of warning sirens.
Can I bring food and drink to the performance?
At our Myriad Gardens venue you may bring outside food and drink. At Paseo no outside food or drink may be brought in. We have wine, beer, soda and water available for purchase.
